In this video, Francesco Carrer from the University of Newcastle explains how FCM can be used to investigate changes in complex systems. Pastoral landscapes are used as key example, as they are the main focus of the PECUS project. FCM can be used to simulate alternative dynamic scenarios and to promote group discussion and decision making.
All these characteristics of FCM make it an ideal tool for landscape research and planning.
